Site Markers for
A Military Tour of Christ Church Cemetery
New Site Markers Installed at Christ Church Cemetery

In October 2002, markers were placed beside the grave site of each veteran interred at Christ Church Cemetery. Each marker is a square white aluminum plate set on a 4"x4" post. Each plate bears a number corresponding to the reference number for that site in the compilation of biographies and history that comprise A Military Tour of Christ Church Cemetery.
Parishioner Chris Whyte designed and installed the markers with co-members of Fayetteville Scout Troop 152. Chris conceived of and accomplished this effort as his Community Service Project which is a prerequisite for achieving the Rank of Eagle Scout.
The markers are intended to be used with the Reference Table of Military Gravesites which sets forth a master list of the veterans with links to their biographies. It is hoped that this endeavor will help to offer a glimpse into the lives of these individuals and their service to our country and community.
